Product Details
Description
A buttery yet light aromatic Chardonnay with aromas of bright green apple flavours, fresh grated lemon zest, as well as honeysuckle and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied with a deliciously creamy mouthfeel that isn’t weighty, balanced by acidity and a slightly spice-filled long finish. This wine pairs exceptionally well with creamy cow’s milk cheeses like Brie de Meaux and Camembert and also harder cheeses like Comté or Stärnächäs.
History and Winemaking
Domaine Borgeot, run by brothers Laurent and Pascal, produces flavoursome burgundies, both red and white. Their cellars in Remigny overlook the River Dheune, dividing Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. With 20 hectares of vineyards, their wines shine, including premier crus in Santenay. The estate follows a ‘bio-raisonnée’ approach, minimising synthetic treatments. Visitors are welcomed warmly, making it a hidden treasure worth discovering.
