History and Winemaking
La Biòca, a small winery in the Langhe region, meticulously produces, refines, and sells their wines in the Fontanafredda area of Serralunga d’Alba. Their charming farmhouse complements the winery’s operations. They exclusively use grapes from their vineyards in Monforte d’Alba, Novello, La Morra, and Barbaresco, dedicating 8 hectares to crafting exceptional labels.
The Langhe region is renowned for its Nebbiolo, a grape that thrives in the unique microclimates of the area. La Biòca takes full advantage of this, using traditional winemaking techniques that respect the land and the fruit it produces. Their approach ensures that each bottle of Nebbiolo reflects the terroir’s unique characteristics, resulting in wines that are both complex and approachable.
The winery’s location in the Fontanafredda area of Serralunga d’Alba provides an ideal environment for wine production. The combination of altitude, soil composition, and climate creates the perfect conditions for growing Nebbiolo. La Biòca’s commitment to quality is evident in every step of their winemaking process, from vineyard management to the final bottling.
