History and Winemaking
Don Joaquin Garralda Oñate, the Marqués de Reinosa, established the Bodega in the late nineteenth century in Autol, a village in Rioja Baja. Today, local villagers proudly own the winery, which spans an impressive 1,075 hectares of vines. Furthermore, Ana Rubio, a skilled local oenologist, oversees the winemaking process, ensuring remarkable consistency and quality across the winery’s extensive production.
Tempranillo Blanco
This white wine is primarily composed of Tempranillo Blanco, a rare mutation of the red Tempranillo grape. This unique varietal offers distinctive characteristics that set it apart from other white wines. Because it is unoaked, the natural flavours of the grape shine through, presenting a pure expression of the varietal. The wine’s fresh and vibrant profile, with its blend of pear, citrus, and herbal notes, makes it an excellent choice for various occasions.
Moreover, this distinctive wine beautifully represents the rich heritage and innovative spirit of the Marqués de Reinosa winery. Whether paired with mild cheeses or enjoyed on its own, the Marqués de Reinosa Rioja Tempranillo Blanco offers a refreshing and elegant tasting experience that delights wine enthusiasts.
